January 2026 .So began the saga of Six Billion Monkeys. From the beginning of entering the Vancouver,Canada Spotlight 86 competion things would never be the same.As a six piece band we made it to the semi-finals and won the prize and tapped into the Genius of Paul Hyde for our first single “The Sun is Shinning”.After doing loads of gigs around Vancouver things began to get difficult.Due to the rise of Hip hop couldn't get a record contract after our M.C.A. deal expired.Due to a lack of funds we became a four piece band and went Indie with our producer Paul Hyde and recorded our double single “SIX Billion Monkeys”.Even though it turned out brilliant we still couldn't sign a deal. So as the band split up me Rodney Hall took the master tape to England and low behold Dame Dame records in Valencia, Spain took it on and it became a massive hit.Shows the old phrase never give up on your dream.
